Lassie Come Home (1943)

It's impossible to look at a collie without thinking about Timmy in the well. Yet before the iconic TV show, there was this lovestory between an English boy and his dog. After being sold to a faraway Duke, Lassie escapes and travels across Scotland and England to reunite with her original owner, a boy named Joe. She faces bad weather, bad people, and bad British food, but alas, no wells.
