Amy Haimerl is a senior editor at FSB: Fortune Small Business, responsible for news and features for the magazine and website. Before joining FSB, she was the news editor of Westword, an alternative weekly in Denver, Colo., where she edited the award-winning exposé of the culture of rape at the Air Force Academy.

Haimerl is well versed in the entrepreneurial life, having grown up washing tractors and moving dirt for her excavator father. She is a fifth-generation Colorado native.
