FSB: FORTUNE Small Business
Dan Goodgame is managing editor at FSB: Fortune Small Business, where he oversees all editorial content of the magazine. Published 10 times a year, FSB is the largest magazine devoted to fast-growing small companies, with 1 million subscribers, all of them business owners or partners.
Before joining FSB in July, 2003, Goodgame was assistant managing editor at TIME, where he edited the section on business and the economy, and helped create two special monthly sections, TIME Global Business and TIME Inside Business. Before becoming an assistant managing editor at TIME in New York, Goodgame served as the magazine's Los Angeles bureau chief; White House correspondent; and Washington bureau chief, where he oversaw 20 correspondents. In 1992 he and TIME colleague Michael Duffy published Marching in Place: The Status Quo Presidency of George Bush. Goodgame joined TIME in 1984, after eight years at the Miami Herald, where he worked as an investigative reporter and as a correspondent in the Middle East and Europe. He started his career at the Tampa Tribune in 1975, working as a night-shift police reporter.
Goodgame has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Mississippi and an M.A. in international relations from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
