Julie Schlosser is an associate editor at FORTUNE. She is responsible for editing a variety of stories that appear in First, the opening section of the magazine. She also reports and writes stories that cover a range of topics such as retail, technology and design. Recent articles include "The great Escape," a story of the cubicle's surprisingly remarkable history.

Schlosser traveled to India in the fall of 2005 as an IRP Fellow (formerly known as the Pew Fellowship).

Schlosser has an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC, and Bologna, Italy, where she concentrated on international economics and European studies; and a B.A. in political science from the University of California at Irvine, where she was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
