Betsy Morris returned to FORTUNE in June of 2007. She was previously a senior writer with Portfolio magazine.
In her first run at FORTUNE, Morris worked as a senior writer covering consumer, marketing and economic trends, in addition to writing profiles of CEOs such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Richard Branson, Jack Welch, Lou Gerstner, Bill Ford and Michael Dell. She also wrote about issues involving women in business.
Morris won a Business Journalist of the Year award in 2005 for "Coke: The Real Story." She also won a 2003 Luce Award for Public Service for "The Dyslexic CEO."
Prior to joining FORTUNE, Morris spent 14 years at the Wall Street Journal as a writer and bureau chief.
She has a B.A. in journalism and history from Stanford University and a M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and their two children.
