Jenny Mero
Reporter
FORTUNE
Jenny Mero is a general assignment reporter at FORTUNE, where her subjects have ranged widely — from covering politics in Latin America, including Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, to landmine issues. She's also a regular contributor to Fortune's How I Work and You Do What? sections. And she has figured in some of the magazine's most popular franchises, including the "Fastest-Growing Companies" and "Most Powerful Women" packages.
Mero is also a freelancer for other publications — among them, Essence, Selecciones (the Spanish-language version of Reader's Digest) — and the deputy editor of the Hearst publication Tu Vida.
Mero joined FORTUNE in 2003 and has a B.A. in sociology from Wesleyan University. In 2007, she received a fellowship from the Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) to attend Stanford University's Professional Publishing course.
