Katie Benner joined FORTUNE in October 2006 and has since written for various sections of the magazine and the web site, with a focus on Wall Street.

Prior to joining FORTUNE, Benner worked at TheStreet.com and at CNN/Money. Before that she lived in Beijing and worked for the South China Morning Post, ICRT Radio Taiwan, and as a freelancer covering everything from hermit monks to rock climbing in Thailand. She has a B.A. in literature from Bowdoin College.
