In today's business environment, most companies—after a huge investment in time, infrastructure, and money—have emerged from the compliance process with new working relationships that are making a positive impact on the general management of the corporation. CFOs and CIOs, in particular, have forged new collaborative relationships that have become vital in the drive to improve organizational performance and spur growth. The CFO/CIO Breakfast Series will explore this important new cooperation and its implications for pubic and non-public companies alike.

8:30am CASE STUDY IN COLLABORATION
Five years ago Career Education owned and operated some 40 post-secondary schools—each one with its own systems and technology. In order to meet growth targets it was critical that they create a centralized network. The initiative succeeded in just 15 months and today some 80 schools operate on a single, interconnected infrastructure. The project leaders will talk about what worked and what didn't, and their plans for future collaborative efforts.

In addition, Earl Shanks will share progress on several projects that emerged from the SarbOx compliance process and Convergys' decision to give the CFO some important "CIO responsibilities."

Mark Griesbaum, Chief Information Officer, Career Education Corp.
Patrick Pesch, Chief Financial Officer, Career Education Corp.
